Parent & Youth Connection Coach
Seeing Your Child Differently Changes Everything
Parenting isn't always easy, especially when your child experiences the world in their own unique way. I create a space where parents and young people feel seen, heard, and understood, and where connection becomes stronger than correction.
Hold. Connect. Grow.

Parenting looks different for every child.
Who am I
I'm Vidya Iyengar, a Parent & Youth Connection Coach.
Before I became a coach, I was a parent trying to make sense of moments that felt confusing, overwhelming, and at times, deeply isolating. Moments where I questioned my child's reactions, my responses, and whether I was getting it right at all.
Over time, I began to see something that changed everything for me: what I was seeing as behavior was often just the surface.
Underneath it were emotions my child didn't yet have the words for, and experiences I couldn't immediately see. And in those moments, what was needed was not correction, but understanding.
That shift continues to shape the work I do today.
What I do
I help parents of pre-teens and teens understand their child's inner world, what drives their emotions and behavior, so they can respond in ways that build connection, not distance.
I support parents in moving from reaction to awareness, especially in the moments that feel the hardest.
Alongside this, I also work with young people when needed, creating a safe, non-judgmental space where they feel seen, heard, and understood.
My work is rooted in a simple belief: behavior is not the problem. It's communication.
And when we begin to look beyond it, relationships begin to shift.
My Purpose
My purpose is to help parents pause, see their child differently, and build deeper, more connected relationships.
I support parents in looking beyond behaviour and understanding what their child may be feeling or needing, especially when the child experiences the world differently.
When parents lead with acceptance, connection, and empathy, children feel safer, parents feel calmer, and families begin to find their own rhythm.
My Mission
My mission is to help parents and young people move from reacting and correcting to understanding and connecting.
Through my work, I support families in navigating moments of confusion and overwhelm with greater awareness, empathy, and trust.
Because when children feel seen, accepted, and safe, they don't need to be pushed to grow. They begin to blossom in their own way.
Parenting is not about getting everything right.
It is about staying curious about our children, learning alongside them, and finding ways to reconnect when things feel difficult.
Sometimes the smallest shift in understanding can change the entire relationship.
Hold. Connect. Grow.
